Village of Potter
FROM THE VILLAGE BOARD-
The village board would like to use this newsletter to inform the residents that the village now has a website. The website is available at www.villageofpotter.comItems such as village ordinances as well as village agendas and village minutes are available at the site. Hopefully by January 1, 2012, garbage & recycling dates will be on the site. Anything village residents would like to have added to the site can be given to President Doug Lau or Trustees Rob Schoen and Amy Zweber, as well as Clerk/Treasurer Dennis Gruett.
Soon snow will be falling and village residents are reminded to keep their sidewalks free of snow and ice. Residents are also urged to help their neighbors clean their sidewalks if they are unable to do it themselves.
Taxes will be collected and dog licenses will be issued at the village hall on the following dates: December 31, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
January 27, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A license is required for any dog over 5 months old. Proof of rabies vaccination must be presented when purchasing a license.
Recycling bags will also be available at this time as well at elections in 2012.
Residents are reminded that direct hookups of sump pumps into the lateral systems are illegal. Such hookups cost the village extra money to treat the clean water at the sewage plant when this water should be going back into the ground. Possible inspections of village homes may be needed to address this problem.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to President Doug Lau or Trustees Rob Schoen or Amy Zweber.
