Minutes of the Village of Potter Board Meeting
March 8, 2017
The Village of Potter monthly board meeting was called to order by President Doug Lau at 7:00 p.m. Others in attendance were: Rob Schoen, Kristen Polifka, Dennis Gruett.
Notation was made that proper posting had been carried out at the Potter Post Office, Potter Village Hall, and Gruett’s.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved by Rob Schoen, seconded Kristen Polifka. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by Dennis Gruett as follows:
February expense: $91,644.18
February income: $49,165.06
Balance as of 3/01/17: $116,693.73 checking
The Potter Utility report was given by Dennis Gruett as follows:
February expense: $3,327.96
February income: $1,057.08
Balance as of 3/01/17: $26,483.30 checking*
*$1,500 is for equipment replacement fund
Sanitary District report:
No comments from the sanitary district.
No building permits were issued for the month.
Doug Lau reported that he will take care of cleaning the village hall at this time.
Discussion was held and a motion was made by Kristen Polifka, seconded by Doug Lau, to grant a beer license to the Potter Fire Department for the chicken barbeque. Motion carried with Rob Schoen abstaining.
Discussion was held and a motion was made by Kristen Polifka, seconded by Doug Lau to appoint Rob Schoen to serve as the Local Government Emergency Management Services Designee, with Doug Lau serving as the alternate. Motion carried with Rob Schoen abstaining.
Doug Lau reported that he will attend the Town of Rantoul board meeting on March13, 2017 to hear matters concerning issues regarding snow plowing in the village.
Vouchers were presented. A motion was made by Rob Schoen, seconded by Kristen Polifka, to pay all vouchers. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Rob Schoen, seconded by Kristen Polifka, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
