Minutes of the Village of Potter Board Meeting
February 8, 2017
The Village of Potter monthly board meeting was called to order by President Doug Lau at 7:00 p.m. Others in attendance were: Rob Schoen, Kristen Polifka, Dennis Gruett, Gary Lemke.
Notation was made that proper posting had been carried out at the Potter Post Office, Potter Village Hall, and Gruett’s.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved by Rob Schoen, seconded Kristen Polifka. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by Dennis Gruett as follows:
January expense: $95,940.21
January income: $99,140.06
Balance as of 2/01/17: $159,172.85 checking
The Potter Utility report was given by Dennis Gruett as follows:
January expense: $5,686.16
January income: $4,179.28
Balance as of 2/01/17: $28,754.18 checking*
*$1,500 is for equipment replacement fund
Sanitary District report:
No comments from the sanitary district.
Gary Lemke reported that the pass through hole will be cut in the village hall wall. The cost of the project is $3,400.00 which will be covered by the Potter Community Association.
Gary Lemke questioned the aid payment on the repaving of Central Street. Doug Lau reported that the aid was denied because the project was not posted properly.
No building permits were issued for the month.
Discussion was held and a motion was made by Rob Schoen, seconded by Kristen Polifka to approve the 2017 Hilbert/Potter First Responder contract as presented. Motion carried.
Doug Lau reported on a quote he had received from LB Carpet Cleaning at $125.00 per month to clean the village hall.
No formal action was taken.
Discussion was held and a motion was made by Rob Schoen, seconded by Kristen Polifka, to obtain a 5 year loan from the State Bank of Chilton for $18,500 at an interest rate of 2.5% for village hall roof and downspout repair. Payments will be made annually. Motion carried.
Vouchers were presented. A motion was made by Rob Schoen, seconded by Kristen Polifka, to pay all vouchers. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Rob Schoen, seconded by Kristen Polifka, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
